FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health – One Day

This one day course is aimed at providing the delegates with the required knowledge to identify certain suspected mental health conditions, and the skills to start a supportive conversation and signpost the person towards professional care.

Learners will gain the knowledge to recognise numerous mental health issues including stress and the influence of drug and alcohol abuse.

They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

Learners will not engage in the diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by professionally qualified clinician’s but each delegate will gain the knowledge to identify when someone in the workplace or a private individual may have a condition and therefore guide that person towards the best professional help.
